Where Animals Find Home, Love, & Sanctuary

Lone Pine Shelter

Why do we do what we do?

Key Points

Spay & Neuter

One single female cat can produce 8000 offspring in a 5 year period.  The average number of those kittens that would be "put down" due to a lack of homes?  7,800.  Please, research the benefits of altering your family pet.

Rescue Before You Buy

Not all breeders are bad, and not every puppy for sale come from horrible conditions in puppy mills.  Just 85% of them do.  Please, don't support these horrific conditions, there are hundreds of rescue pets available for Adoption in the Northwest Arkansas area alone.

Not Everything Requires Money

Sometimes the best thing you can give, is the thing most personal to you,  your time.  We have puppies and kittens that don't know how to act right around humans.  We have dogs that were chained outside most of their lives and don't really know what a caring touch feels like.  Please consider Volunteering.

Our Mission...

"We believe euthanasia should only be used to end suffering and not to control the population"

Established in 2000, Lone Pine Shelter is a non-profit, 100% no-kill animal sanctuary group dedicated to the rescue of abused, neglected, and abandoned animals in our area.

Through our network of compassionate volunteers we provide much needed loving care, medical attention, and socialization in a home environment whenever possible.

Since we are no-kill those deemed "unadoptable" are provided a loving sanctuary to live out their days. In an effort to end the cycle of cruelty and overpopulation we strive to educate the public on humane treatment of animals and the importance of spaying and neutering dogs and cats.

We believe euthanasia should only be used to end suffering and not to control the population.
