FAQ's - Volunteering

Some questions we get asked over and over again, so we tried to make a list....

1. I am interested in volunteering with your charity, what do I do?
2. I like working with dogs, but I am not much for cats, is that okay?
3. I work for a large company, who will match my time contribution with a donation, are you a 501c3 charity?

Helping Us:
First off, thank you so much for considering volunteering with Lone Pine.  We have many different options for you:

• Volunteer at Adoptions
• Volunteer to help socialize the cats or dogs
• Volunteer to help clean the kennels/cat barn
• Volunteer to help with the emails or phone calls

You can fill out our Volunteer Application online, and we will contact you with your preferred method you specify.

Dog or Cat Lover Only:
Everyone usually has their preference, dog or cat.  Believe us, we have enough work with both sets of animals to keep you busy!  When you volunteer with us, we will let you know where we need help, and you can choose what you do and what you don't want to.  We always need help with cleaning, and adoptions are usually in desperate need of help.  Just let us know you are interested on our Volunteer Application, and we can go from there.

501c3 IRS Charity:
Yep, we sure are a registered charity, with the IRS.  We can and will provide you all the information you need to prove that you are volunteering with a registered charity.  Just drop us a quick note using our online Contact Form.
